This creamy Garlic White Pizza Sauce is a flavorful and easy-to-make addition to your favorite pizzas and pasta dishes. Made with fresh garlic, herbs, and a smooth blend of half & half and flour, this sauce comes together in just 12 minutes, delivering a rich, garlicky taste that elevates any meal.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2-3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups half & half (or milk)

Seasonings

  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Heat Olive Oil: Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat to prepare the base for your sauce.
  2. Add Garlic: Add the minced garlic cloves to the hot oil and sauté for about 3 minutes, allowing the garlic to release its fragrant aroma without browning.
  3. Create Roux: Whisk in 2 tablespoons of flour along with the dried oregano, ground black pepper, and salt. Stir continuously to combine the seasonings and cook out the raw flour taste.
  4. Add Half & Half: Pour in 1 1/2 cups of half & half (or milk) all at once while whisking constantly. Cook and stir the mixture until it becomes bubbly and thickens to a creamy sauce consistency, approximately 3 minutes.

Notes

  • You can adjust the thickness of the sauce by adding more or less flour, starting with 2 tablespoons and increasing as needed.
  • For a richer flavor, use half & half instead of milk, but milk works as a lighter alternative.
  • Use fresh garlic for the best aromatic taste; avoid browning to keep the sauce smooth and creamy.
  • This sauce keeps well refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days and can be reheated gently on the stovetop.
  • Perfect as a white sauce base for pizzas, pasta, or even drizzled over steamed vegetables.
